NBC Salutes Wicked with Halloween Special Featuring Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel

This October, NBC will celebrate 15 years of the iconic Broadway show Wicked with the special A Very Wicked Halloween. Set your alerts for Monday, Oct. 29 at 10/9c because that's when all this magic will go down!

Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth, the OG Elphaba and Glinda, will host the special concert. The night will be full of nostalgia and feature performances of select songs from the Tony Award-winning show. Musical guest performers slated to hit the stage include Ariana Grande, the aca-awesome group Pentatonix, the current Wicked cast and others.

Telling the story of what went down in Oz before Dorothy landed in Emerald City, the musical centers on a spirited, misunderstood young woman who was born with green skin. Possessing a unique talent, she meets a bubbly blonde who happens to be popular and their rivalry turns into an unexpected friendship. Boasting hits such as "Defying Gravity" and "Popular," the show is considered one of the most successful musicals of all time. Its accolades include a Grammy and three Tony Awards.
