Blake Shelton is once bringing attention to his home state, Oklahoma, to help raise money for the victims of the tornado that ripped through the state earlier this week.
The Voice coach will headline the special "Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert" at Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday. NBC, along with sister stations Style, E!, G4, Bravo and CMT, will televise the event Wednesday at 9/8c. Reba McEntire, Vince Gill and Shelton's wife, Miranda Lambert, will also perform. More guests will be announced later.
"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Shelton said in a statement. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."
A day after the tornado ripped through Oklahoma, he and Lambert performed a duet of "Over You" on Tuesday's Voice results show. During their performance, a prompt for Red Cross donations ran at the bottom of the screen. Watch the performance below:
