NBC Renews Chuck, Orders Four New Series

NBC has renewed Chuck for a fourth season, and announced it will be joined in the fall by four new series — including one produced by Conan O'Brien.Chuck, which will wrap its third season May 24 with a two-hour finale, has averaged a respectable 6.6 million viewers this season. The network also picked up dramas The Cape, Outlaw, Harry's Law and the comedy Friends with Benefits. The Cape stars ER alum David Lyons as Vince Faraday, an ex-cop framed as a criminal who becomes a masked hero. It stars Jennifer Ferrin (Life on Mars), Ryan Wynott (FlashForward), James Frain (The Tudors), Keith David (Death at a Funeral), Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Dorian Missick (Six Degrees).

Executive-produced by O'Brien, Outlaw follows Jimmy Smits' Cyrus Garza, a Supreme Court justice who leaves the bench to return to private practice. Jesse Bradford (The West Wing), Carly Pope (24), Ellen Woglom (Californication) and David Ramsey (Dexter) co-star.

NBC picks up three more series for 2010-11 season

Harry's Law comes from David E. Kelley and revolves around a curmudgeonly former patent lawyer (Kathy Bates) and her team of misfit attorneys at a storefront law firm, which she opens with Matthew (Ben Chaplin) and Malcolm (Aml Ameen). Rounding out the cast are Brittany Snow and Beatrice Rosen (The Dark Knight).Friends with Benefits follows five twentysomethings as they navigate the dating world. Ben (Ryan Hansen), who's waiting for his Ms. Right, is happy with his relationship with his best friend, Sara (Danneel Harris), who's searching for Mr. Right. Fran Kranz (Dollhouse), Ian Reed Kesler and Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) co-star.

NBC cancels Law & Order, picks up SVU and Law & Order: Los Angeles

The Cape, Outlaw, Harry's Law and Friends with Benefits join previously announced Perfect Couples, Chase, Undercovers, The Event, Love Bites, Outsourced and Law & Order: Los Angeles as new scripted NBC shows for the 2010-11 season.Are you happy Chuck will be back?
