NBC Renews The Blacklist, Chicago Fire, SVU and More

NBC has announced early renewals for dramas The Blacklist, Chicago Fire,Chicago P.D.,Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Grimm.

The SVU pickup -- for the procedural's 17th season -- in particular is a departure from recent seasons, during which the show's fate came down to the wire.

Buoyed by its post-Super Bowl episode, The Blacklist is now the No. 2 show on broadcast networks this season, behind CBS' The Big Bang Theory. The show moves to its new time slot, Thursdays at 9/8c, this week.
