NBC is putting out the call to find designers, builders, decorators and craftsmen to compete in a new home improvement reality competition.

The show, which is being developed under the working title Home Transformers, will split contestants into teams as they compete to rebuild rundown homes around the country. NBC hasn't determined the prize yet, but is characterizing it for now as "life changing."

NBC has put out an open casting call for this Saturday in Philadelphia, and will also hold another casting call on November 19 in Chicago. The casting information says the show is looking for participants with a passion for design: "In these days of economic uncertainty when many Americans are struggling to achieve the dream of owning a home, our Home Transformers will inspire the nation with their talent, their hard work, and their forward-thinking designs," the network says.

NBC's Universal TV is producing the show in-house, with Craig Plestis (Minute to Win It), Jason Raff (America's Got Talent) and Tom Shelly (Love in the Wild) as executive producers.

NBC continues to add to its reality stable, with new alternative shows in the works this season including Fashion Star, Who's Still Standing? and the return of Fear Factor.
