NBC Greenlights Two Pilots

NBC has picked up pilots for an hour-long superhero drama and an office comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Cape, set in a fictionalized version of Los Angeles, follows a framed ex-cop who becomes a masked hero to clear his name and reunite with his son. The drama comes from Empire's Tom Wheeler, who will executive produce with Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman. Outsourced, based on George Wing and John Jeffcoat's movie, is a single-camera office comedy about a recently demoted manager of a novelties company who is sent to India to manage a diverse group of customer service reps. Ken Kwapis (The Office) will direct and executive produce with writer Robert Borden (The Drew Carey Show).
