Natasha Henstridge Heads to CW's Secret Circle

Natasha Henstridge has been cast in CW's The Secret Circle, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Based on the three-book series from The Vampire Diaries author L.J. Smith, the series follows Cassie (Britt Robertson), a young witch who moves back to her mother's hometown and may be the key to a battle between good and evil.

Henstridge will play Dawn Chamberlain, a former friend of Cassie's mother who knows about the secret coven of witches in the town. Thomas Dekker, Shelley Hennig, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Phoebe Tonkin will also star. Vampire Diaries boss Kevin Williamson will executive-produce.

The 36-year-old actress, who recently appeared on Drop Dead Diva, starred in ABC's short-lived series Eli Stone, and in The Whole Nine Yards opposite Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis.
