NBC Gives Full-Season Order to The Mysteries of Laura

NBC has given a full-season, 22-episode order to The Mysteries of Laura. "Debra has effortlessly infused Laura with a relatability that is captivating audiences," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement. "We can't wait to see how Laura will continue to evolve throughout the entire season." Fall TV Popularity Contest: Did Laura intrigue you? The series stars Messing as a New York City homicide detective struggling to balance her demanding job with her hectic life at home with rambunctious twin boys and a soon-to-be ex-husband, Jake (Josh Lucas), who becomes her new boss. (She's a mom and a cop!?) Since its premiere, 48 percent of more than 13,000 TVGuide.com users said that they liked the show in our Fall TV Popularity Contest, while 37 percent said that they didn't and 15 percent said it was too soon to tell.
