We know you're itching for more Briar U stories, but these shows and movies will tide you over in the meantime

Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli, Off Campus
Liane Hentscher/Prime[Warning: The following contains light spoilers from Season 1 of Off Campus. Read at your own risk]
Everyone craving a new hockey romance drama to fill the Heated Rivalry-shaped hole in their hearts since the Crave/HBO show ended last December cheered for joy with the arrival of Prime Video's Off Campus. Based on Elle Kennedy's book series of the same name, Off Campus follows the adventures in love of the fictional Briar University hockey team.
Season 1 focuses on the story of Briar's hockey captain, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), and his fake dating scheme with aspiring songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) to make Hannah's crush jealous. The eight episodes explore how Garrett and "Wellsy" go from enemies to soulmates, overcoming past trauma and dark family secrets to (spoiler!) find love with each other. The show also introduces and endears us to Garrett's teammates, including John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks), and Dean DiLaurentis (Stephen Thomas Kalyn), who will anchor their own seasons if Off Campus continues long enough.
More on Off Campus:
The show is sexy and fun. It somehow effectively puts the emphasis on both the rom and the com that are essential to a rom-com. The best news is that the show has already been renewed for Season 2, and production begins this summer. So we almost certainly will be getting answers about Dean and Allie (Mika Abdalla)'s blossoming romance and Logan's love interest, Grace (India Fowler). But it's going to take at least a year for those episodes to get in our eyeballs. So what are we romance fans supposed to do until then?
You can check out the following movies and shows that will keep that Off Campus serotonin flowing. (Note: This list assumes that you've already watched Heated Rivalry, because everyone has already watched Heated Rivalry. If you somehow fall outside of that classification, go to HBO Max and fix that right now, and then check out this list.)

Belmont Cameli and Emma Pasarow, Along for the Ride
NetflixCalling all Graham girlies (and not-girlies, everyone is welcome here)! Off Campus is not Belmont Cameli's first foray into the romance genre. He also stars in the Netflix film Along for the Ride, about two teen night owls who paint their small town red and fall in love while battling insomnia. It's based on a Sarah Dessen novel, and millennial women will know that means you're in for an emotional rollercoaster, but it is going to be so satisfying.

Siena Agudong and Noah Beck, Sidelined: The QB & Me
TubiTubi has low-key been putting out romance bangers for a minute now. The most Off Campus-adjacent title in the streamer's library of hidden gems are the Sidelined movies. Trade hockey for football, and you have another opposites-attract romance between an athlete (Noah Beck — a serious contender for becoming the next Noah Centineo, and not just because of their names) and an artist (Sienna Agudong) who have to juggle their undeniable feelings for each other with going after their dreams. The better news? There are actually two Sidelined movies for you to stream right now, and Tubi is a free streaming service. Things get a bit more angsty in the second film, but both movies are kick-your-feet-and-giggle-adorable.

Heartbreak High Season 1 cast
NetflixBe honest, was Justin (Josh Heuston) more your vibe while you watched Off Campus? I promise that you are not alone in that sentiment. If you want more Josh Heuston being an absolute smokeshow, check out Heartbreak High on Netflix. It's basically Australian Degrassi, or a better executed Sex Education, for everyone that doesn't understand the first reference. Heuston's role dramatically falls off after Season 1 (he had to go film some show called Dune: Prophecy? Allegedly a big deal, or something), but he's front and center in Season 1 of Heartbreak High as the crushable Dusty. This is one of the most honest modern teen shows currently on the market, and it does such a great job of being inclusive of different sexualities and preferences without being preachy. It's an absolute gem of a show.

Chelsea Hobbs, Make It Or Break It
HuluIf you care about athleticism in your romance TV shows, let me introduce you to an old ABC Family/Freeform classic: Make It or Break It, a 2009 series about high school elite gymnasts in Colorado. Doing death-defying gymnastics stunts is so hard when you also have to worry about boys, parent drama, and studying. This show was inspired by the movie Stick It, which should also be mandatory viewing. The gymnastics VFX can get a little hokey, but this show packs a punch and is super bingeable.

Kyle Chandler, Friday Night Lights
NBC/Getty ImagesWe can't have a conversation about sports TV shows, romance, or otherwise, without including the GOAT. Friday Night Lights is essential viewing for being a well-rounded person. Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) walked so that Dean DiLaurentis could run. You have to cringe your way through parts of Season 2 (it's not the show's fault — NBC just didn't understand the vision), but overall, Friday Night Lights is an all-time great show. It's about football instead of hockey, but it has so much heart (literally, clear eyes, full heart, can't lose!). There are multiple couples that will make your heart soar and ache. It's just… chef's kiss.

Jared Keeso, Shoresy
Lindsay Sarazin/HuluCompiling this list has made me realize that we really don't have enough shows about hockey on TV. Tonally, Shoresy could not be more different from Off Campus. It's a laugh-out-loud comedy, but there's also an unexpected amount of sincere yearning. It makes more sense after I tell you that Heated Rivalry showrunner Jacob Tierney co-created the show with series lead Jared Keeso and directed multiple episodes in the first three seasons. If you thought that Graham would do anything for Wellsy, you are absolutely not ready for the lengths Shoresy (Keeso) would go to in order to land Laura Mohr (Camille Sullivan). A piping hot bowl of miso ramen has never sounded so romantic!
