Judging by its suggestive title — "Corned Beef and Handcuffs" — the Dec. 16 episode of CBS' Mom promises to be naughtier than usual. Luckily, executive producer Chuck Lorre brought in a director with plenty of experience handling risqué story lines: Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer (who has already directed three episodes of his own sitcom, which is also produced by Lorre).
"The writers came up with the idea of having the two volatile characters of Bonnie [Allison Janney] and Chef Rudy [French Stewart] get together," says Cryer. "Chuck really wanted this episode to go well, and I wanted to deliver on that. It's a pretty cool time to be a part of what he is doing on television. To be able to learn from that is an opportunity I'm trying to take advantage of."
