Modern Family Modern Family

Just when you thought it was over, the Modern Family salary drama continues.

Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez and Ariel Winter are also seeking raises, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

This news comes just a day after the six adult cast members received substantial raises for their work on the Emmy-nominated series, going from approximately $65,000 per episode to $175,000 per episode in the upcoming fourth season.

Modern Family cast signs deals to return; boss says "It feels great"

According to sources, the young stars' salary negotiations are set for next week. But while Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara and Jesse Tyler Ferguson boycotted a table read and sued 20th Century Fox before their salary demands were granted, the young stars' negotiations are not expected to similarly escalate.Gould, Winter and Rodriguez, who play Luke, Alex and Manny, respectively, have allegedly discussed an alliance similar to the adult negotiations, in which they would approach the production company with unified demands. This would reportedly include adding an eighth season onto their seven-season contracts.Hyland, who plays Hayley, will also renegotiate her contract, but since the actress is already reported to make more than her younger co-stars, it is likely that she'll negotiate separately.

ABC "optimistic" about Modern Family salary negotiations

After the adult contract disputes were settled, showrunner Steve Levitan told reporters Friday night at ABC's Television Critics Association fall TV previews: "It feels great; we're very happy. We can't wait to get started on Monday morning. I'm sure everybody will be relieved to be back on stage and I think it's going to be a great season. I never for a second doubted that we would get here, but it's a distraction that I'm happy to see end."Apparently, these "distractions" aren't quite over yet, but hopefully these new contract disputes won't incur any further production delays.20th Century Fox and ABC both declined to comment on the negotiations.
