Modern Family Star Jesse Tyler Ferguson Has Cancer Removed From His Face

Jesse Tyler Ferguson had a happy occasion to post a selfie to Instagram Tuesday, after just having cancer removed from his face.

"Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face," he wrote. Ferguson didn't go into specifics of what cancer was removed, but his SPF hashtag suggests it might have been a skin cancer. "Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow @modernfamily_makeuphair!" he added.

The Modern Family actor has been an ardent supporter of Stand Up to Cancer; husband Justin Mikita began battling the disease at 13, he told E! News. " He goes in once a year for his check-up to make sure he's still cancer-free, so he's always reminded of it."

We're not sure from his post whether Ferguson, 40, will continue treatments but, we're very happy to see him smiling and wish him the best. Check out his posts below.
