Commenting in a story about the lack of openly gay active athletes in professional sports, Hunter told the Times: "For me, as a Christian ... I [would] be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, it's not right. It [would] be difficult and uncomfortable."
Though many athletes have come out of the closet upon retiring, there has yet to be an active athlete in the MLB, NHL, NFL or NBA who is openly gay, according to the Times article.
