Fox's new drama Minority Report isn't just retelling the story of the movie. Instead, it's making sense of how much has gone wrong in the wake of the dismantling of the Precrime division.

"The premise of the show is that Dash [Stark Sands], one of the three pre-cogs from the film, has been living off the grid for the last 10 years," executive producer Max Borenstein says in the exclusive first-look video below. "He comes back into the city. He desperately wants to stop murders before they take place."

And that's why he teams up with Lt. Vega (Meagan Good), who has been spending her days "picking up the pieces" after the murders are committed. "I'm done mopping up the messes," Vega says to Dash in the teaser, which offers new glimpses at the high-octane technological thriller. "Let me help you. Don't you want to stop just one?"

Sounds like the beginning of a beautiful partnership! Check out the video below.

Minority Report premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 9/8c on Fox. Will you watch?
