ABC Picks Up Minnie Driver Comedy Speechless, Renews Last Man Standing

Minnie Driver is returning to TV.

ABC has picked up the About a Boy star's new comedy, Speechless, in which she stars as Maya DiMeo, a "mom on a mission," per ABC, who's raising three children, including one with special needs. The show also stars John Ross Bowie (The Big Bang Theory) as Maya's husband Jimmy, as well as Mason Cook, Micah Fowler and Kyla Kennedy as their children.

Speechless hails from writer/executive producer Scott Silveri (Friends) and executive producers Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar (Fresh Off the Boat).

In addition, ABC announced that it has renewed Tim Allen's comedy Last Man Standing for a sixth season.
