Mad Men Star to Romance Dr. Mindy on The Mindy Project

For a doctor, Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) sure has a lot of time for love.

Ben Feldman, best known for playing Michael Ginsberg on Mad Men, has been tapped to play the OB-GYN's latest love interest on The Mindy Project, TVLine.com reports.

The romance between Feldman and Kaling's characters will be of the opposites-attract variety. "He's an arts and culture writer and a bit of a snob — he kind of looks down on Mindy's taste," executive producer Jack Burditt told the site of Feldman's character. "There's an attraction there, but also a divide between them."

Feldman, 33, will appear in multiple episodes and joins previously announced guest stars James Franco, Timothy Olyphant, Adam Pally and Glenn Howerton.

The Emmy nominee's other credits include Drop Dead Divaand Major Crimes.

The new season of The Mindy Project premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox.
