Happy International Women's Day everyone! Unfortunately, the Internet is choosing to celebrate with a massive Twitter cat fighting over nude pictures and slut shaming.

Kanye West rages against Wiz Khalifa in his first rant of 2016

It started Sunday night, when Kim Kardashian West posted a nude selfie, as she does. Bette Midler - legend, icon and never one to shy away from a devilishly good crack at a public figure - chirped out, "If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera." Zing!

Of course, this is the kind of a zany crack that in Midler's day would've just been considered good fun but is now cause for an all-out war, and that's exactly what happened.

Kim clapped back hard, inferring that Midler was old ("I know it's past your bedtime") and then accusing her of being a "fake friend" since Midler sent her a gift some time back.

Chloe Grace Moretz, who inserted herself in the melee with some comments about women's bodies, slut shaming and the like, prompted Kim to cut her too. ("Let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is.") Yeesh! Those Wests do NOT play.

Neil deGrasse Tyson spars with rapper B.o.B about whether the Earth is flat

Apparently feeling a need to make peace, Miley Cyrus (who, just days before was slammed for posting an unflattering photo of Jodie Sweetin during her tumultuous days) decided to chime in, posting a KIMOJI (that's a Kardashian emoji, for the uninitiated) of Kim's rump with a characteristically wacky plea for calm.

Midler, for her part, seems to have closed the loop by tweeting to Kim, "I never tried to fake friend you. Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke."
