His acting comeback officially complete, Mickey Rourke is apparently swinging for a boxing comeback, too. TheSin City actor returned to the boxing ring on Friday at the age of 62, and took on a man less than half his age, according to People. And he won!
Fighting in Moscow in an exhibition bout, Rourke dropped 29-year-old boxer Elliot Seymour twice before the referee decided to stop the fight. Despite an unimpressive 1-9 record, Seymour was no slouch, as he was a former California Golden Gloves champion. It was Rourke's first boxing match in over 20 years.
Known mostly for his roles in The Wrestler, Iron Man 2, and Angel Heart, Rourke began his career as an amateur boxer in the mid-1960s and put together a record of 27-3. In the 1990s, he retired from acting to become a professional boxer and compiled a 6-2-0 record.
