Myanmar Deports Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh, who plays pro-democracy Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi in an upcoming film, has been deported from Myanmar, The Associated Press reports.Yeoh, a former Bond girl, tried to enter the country on June 22, but was deported the same day because she was on a blacklist, a government official said. Yeoh, 48, previously visited the nation formerly known as Burma in December, when she met with Suu Kyi, whom she's portraying in Luc Besson's The Lady. Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, spent most of the last two decades detained under house arrest by the former military junta before getting released in November.A rep for Suu Kyi confirmed Yeoh was deported but had no further details.Yeoh most recently voiced Soothsayer in Kung Fu Panda 2.
