Co-stars and now competitors, Michael Douglas and Matt Damon will present at the Emmys for the first time, it was announced Tuesday.

2013 Emmy nominations: Surprises and snubs

Both stars are nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for Behind the Candelabra, which received a total of 15 nominations. Douglas, 68, played Liberace in the HBO film, and Damon, 42, portrayed Liberace's former companion Scott Thorson. Each actor has been nominated four times before.

They are the first presenters announced for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the ceremony will air on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c on CBS.
