TV Guide Magazine: How has it been replacing Season 1 host Marissa Jaret Winokur?
Mel B.: She's a really good friend of mine. But this season is a lot different, with new producers, etc.... I was told to just be me, which is a great job to have!
TV Guide Magazine: Things have gotten pretty emotional on the show already.
Mel B.: Oh, my God, yes. The contestants want to dramatically change their lives, to become better, healthier people. So that means letting go of old habits, old indulgences.
TV Guide Magazine: You also have a new reality show coming up on the Style Network.
Mel B.: It's set for September. You'll see how my family life is, and how we cope—three kids with three different fathers! [Laughs] We're an open book, so what you see is what you get.
