If you thought the brutal, throat-slitting murder of one of Wayward Pines' biggest stars was an unthinkable twist, get ready to be shocked again.
After last week's public execution of Beverly (Juliette Lewis), Thursday's episode will spill the blood of an arguably even more central character. And those twists are made possible by the show's miniseries format. "The story was all planned out and that gave me the ability to talk to the actors and tell them exactly what happens with their characters in a way you normally can't do with television," executive producer Chad Hodge says. "It wasn't like, "Oh, we got Juliette Lewis; let's have Beverly live a lot longer.' No, that's the story. That character dies in the second episode and another character dies in the next episode."
As for who will meet the Grim Reaper, consider these factors. After Beverly's murder, Ethan (Matt Dillon) thinks he's finally found a way to get out of town. (But, of course, he only finds more danger.) Meanwhile, Ethan's wife Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) and son Ben (Charlie Tahan) finally arrive in Wayward Pines, where they have a less-than-welcoming run-in with Sheriff Pope (Terrence Howard). Finally, we'll just say this: If Beverly's murder showed how twisted the rules of this town are, the next death will offer clues to the larger powers at play in this strange stretch of road.
Who do you think will die?
