Although The Blacklist's Raymond "Red" Reddington was last seen in a puddle of his own blood, we have it on good authority that he's going to survive that gunshot, duh. "Between you and me, I don't think he's going to die in the first act," The Blacklist creator Jon Bokenkamp tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. "[But he's] clearly wounded in a significant way."
The fallout from the shooting will also be significant. As everyone scrambles to either save or take Red's life, our favorite cleaner Mr. Kaplan will return to help her colleague in his hour of need. But it'll be no fun for Liz. "Red [being incapacitated] has created this void in the world," Bokenkamp says. "Liz is going to have to fill that void."
She'll get answers from Blacklister Leonard Caul, who "serves a very critical role for Red and Liz and the Fulcrum and all things linking Season 2," Bokenkamp says. She'll also see a photo that will change everything she thought she knew about her life, which will make things pretty tricky. "There's this rift, this gap developing between Liz and Red," Bokenkamp says. "There have been a lot of secrets between them, and those are starting to come to light."
Sounds like Red better take his time recuperating.
