Mega Buzz: Has Norman Killed Again on Bates Motel?

The evidence doesn't look good!

Bates Motel's Season 3 premiere left viewers wondering if Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) had once again given into his darker urges.

While showing Annika Johnson (Tracy Spiridakos) around town, Norman got that old familiar look in his eye when Annika spoke bluntly about her work as a call girl. Suspiciously, the episode ended with Norman arriving back at the hotel in Annika's car -- alone! So, did Norman have another Blair Watson incident? "I think that you should always assume the worst because it is Bates Motel," executive producer Kerry Ehrin tells TVGuide.com. "There's no reliable narrator and the audience often has to interpret or project what they think something is. The ending was very much designed for that."

As such, don't expect a quick answer. The next episode finds Norma (Vera Farmiga) worrying about Annika's disappearance, and she soon turns her suspicions to Norman, who creates more doubt by lying about how he spent the previous evening. But that might not be the most damning evidence against Norman -- especially after a young woman's body is found floating in the tidal flats!

Do you think Norman killed Annika?
