Look out, Happy! We can almost hear the engines revving in the distance — Mayans M.C. finally has a Season 2 premiere date.

After an exciting first season, Mayans M.C. will return Sept. 3, FX announced Monday. The series will remain in the same Tuesday at 10/9c time slot that helped it get off to a great start in 2018 as the year's highest-rated new cable drama premiere.

The Sons of Anarchy spin-off, which follows the Sons' rival club the Mayans through the eyes of its latest prospect, EZ Reyes (JD Pardo), evolved over the course of Season 1 and expanded the world of the original and raised the stakes with timely themes. As TV Guide's Tim Surette wrote after the end of the first season, "Though Mayans M.C. is still steeped in the melodrama of Sons, the fact that it's saying something more than just being about outlaw life speaks to its audience on a more fulfilling level."

Mayans M.C.'s First Season Was More Important Than Sons of Anarchy

Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Danny Pino, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Ray McKinnon, David LaBrava, Antonio Jaramillo, Raoul Trujillo, Carla Baratta, and Edward James Olmos also star.

Mayans M.C. returns Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 10/9c on FX.
