Let's be honest: there have been diminishing returns on Netflix's Marvel shows. Luke Cage and The Punisher's first seasons were good (and we won't even mention The Defenders), but at the end of the day, none of these compared to the first season of Jessica Jones, which came out way back in November 2015. That's 15 years ago in Peak TV time. Needless to say, we're very ready for Season 2 and thanks to this trailer, we're getting our first good look at it!
Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) back, with her drinking and darkness in full effect as she tries to get to the bottom of what happened to her and her family as a child. The trailer teases a myriad of fights and explosions as well as more of the searching inquiry into Jessica's personal trauma that made Season 1 so compelling. Speaking of, the trailer also teases the return of Kilgrave (David Tennant), the sociopathic psychic who was responsible for so much of Jessica's pain — and on whom Jessica exacted her fatal revenge in Season 1.
Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2 premieres on Netflix Friday, March 8.
