Tyrone and Tandy's cemetery encounter in the series premiere of Marvel's Cloak & Dagger may not have been pleasant for the young heroes, but it seemed to be a blast for the actors portraying them.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their meeting, stars Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt were rigged to wires and strategically thrown across the set to simulate that explosive first face-to-face since meeting under tragic circumstances as kids. Both actors expressed their excitement at filming the thrilling scene -- mostly because they got to do their own stunts.
"I wanna do everything. I wanna make sure that I feel it and it looks as real as possible," Joseph said in the video. Added Holt, "To be able to dive in and figure out how to make this thing look as best as possible was a really really cool experience."
The story follows the very different teens whose complimentary powers make them the so-called divine pairing. While Tandy possesses the ability to emit light daggers, Tyrone can teleport and engulf others in darkness. The first few episodes focus on developing their relationship -- they're destined to fall in love, after all -- but the pair will eventually need to save their embattled city of New Orleans from dark forces.
Marvel's Cloak & Dagger continues Thursdays at 8/7c on Freeform.
