Marion Cotillard Gives Birth to Boy

Marion Cotillard gave birth to a son Thursday night in Paris, People.com reports. The child, named Marcel, is Cotillard's first with her actor-director boyfriend Guillaume Canet.

According to People.com's source,9 the mother and child are "fine," and Cotillard is "happy." No word on Marcel's emotional state, but then, that's probably hard to grasp since he's a newborn.

Cotillard, 35, and Canet, 38, have been dating since 2007. They first worked together on 2003's Love Me If You Dare. While a ring from Canet that Cotillard wears on her left hand has sent tongues wagging, a marriage engagement between the two of them remains unconfirmed.
