Sounds like Mariah Carey isn't exactly heartbroken over American Idol being canceled.

In an interview with Australia's KIIS FM, as reported by the U.K.'s Daily Mail, the singer and former Idol judge slammed the show as being "so boring and so fake."

Carey, who sat on the panel with Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj in Season 12, alleges that producers prompt the judges about what type of feedback to give the contestants in order to up the show's dramatic value.

"You have to make up things to say about people," Carey said.

This isn't the first time Carey has slammed Idol, but with Fox ending the series after the upcoming fifteenth season (and mulling the return of performers and past judges), she says there's no way she'll be back. "Absolutely not," she stressed. "That was the worst experience of my life. ... I would never want to be involved in it again."

Contributing to Carey's hatred of the show was a well-publicized feud between her and Minaj - something else she says was manufactured by TPTB. "I don't think they had any intentions of us having a good experience through that show," she says. "Pitting two females against each other wasn't cool. ... It should have been about the contestants instead of about some non-existent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness."
