Margaret Cho is taking a second chance on TV. According to Entertainment Weekly, the comedian who is famous for her boundary breaking satires and jokes will star in a new comedy for Amazon Studios.

Highland focuses on an addict fresh out of rehab (Cho), who has to move in with her dysfunctional family that just started running a pot dispensary. The comedy was in the center of a bidding war with Amazon finally coming out on top.

Lost EP Liz Sarnoff will take over as showrunner with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements also on board as executive producers.

This is Cho's first return to series television after her 1994 comedy All-American Girl failed on ABC. She was cast in 2014 Tina Fey pilot, Cabot College, which never made it to air. While Cho's brazen comedy may not have flown in the mid-'90s, it's a whole new era now. It may be the perfect time for Cho to make a real stand in the TV landscape.
