Maksim Chmerkovskiy Returning to Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars has certainly had plenty of shakeups leading up to Season 18, but at least one familiar face will be back in the ballroom — and we're not talking about new co-host Erin Andrews. Professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy (who was Andrews' partner in Season 11) will return to the show after a two-season hiatus, a source close to the show has confirmed.

Quiz: How well do you know Grey's Anatomy?

Chmerkovskiy, 34, left the show in 2012 after the All-Stars season to "explore other opportunities," according to a statement he released at the time. He appeared on an episode of DWTS last season as a guest judge.

In the past month, Dancing has parted ways with co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet (who was replaced by Andrews), as well as bandleader Harold Wheeler and his entire band.

The Dancing with the Stars Season 18 cast will be announced on Good Morning America onTuesday, March 4. DWTS premieres Monday, March  17 at 8/7c on ABC.
