The producers of Netflix's captivating docuseries Making a Murderer are working on new episodes, the streaming service announced Tuesday.
There's no word on when the additional installments will premiere, or how many will be released. The new episodes will offer updates on the case against Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, who were convicted of torturing and murdering photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005. The original episodes make the case that Avery and Dassey may not have actually committed the crime.
"We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response to, and support of, the series," executive producers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos said in a statement. "The viewers' interest and attention has ensured that the story is not over, and we are fully committed to continuing to document events as they unfold."
Making a Murderer, which was nominated for an Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series Emmy last week, is available to stream on Netflix.
