Riverdale lost one of the best dads on TV when Luke Perry passed away in March, but we've had the chance to say a long goodbye to the actor and his character thanks to the episodes of Riverdale he'd shot before his death. Now, though, Perry's final episode is almost here.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed on Twitter that Wednesday's episode, "Fear the Reaper," will be the last with Luke Perry. "This week's #Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed," Aguirre-Sacasa wrote. "As always, Fred's imparting words of wisdom to Archie (KJ Apa). A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son. Wish these scenes could go on forever..."

Perry's final episode airs Wednesday, April 24 at 8/7c. So far, the team behind Riverdale has not addressed how the show will death with Perry's death or how they will write off a character who is so deeply entrenched in the narrative. For now, all we know is that we've got one last chance to say goodbye to Fred Andrews this week.
