Loretta Devine seems to have something for medical professionals.
The actress, best known for playing Adele Webber on Grey's Anatomy, has landed a multi-episode arc on USA's new EMT comedy Sirens, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
From Denis Leary and Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers), Sirens follows three Chicago EMTs whose self-righteous and self-destructive personalities make them unfit for long-term relationships and most occupations. Johnny (Pan Amalum Michael Mosley) is a good-looking, sports-loving EMT working alongside his best friend Hank (Modern Family's Kevin Daniels). Brian (Game Change's Kevin Bigley) is a wide-eyed, excitable new EMT still living with his folks. And Theresa (The Vow's Jessica McNamee) is a smart female Chicago cop still carrying a torch for her ex Johnny.
Devine will play Hank's no-nonsense, church-going mother for two episodes. Production on Sirens started Wednesday and is set to premiere in early 2014.
