Don't Expect a Second Season of Living Biblically

CBS deemed the comedy not good enough for its schedule

Living Biblically has officially been pulled off the CBS lineup.

Variety reports that CBS' 9:30/8:30c slot on Monday nights will instead air repeats of The Big Bang Theory for the next two weeks, and no return date has been set for Living Biblically. On network television, that's usually the kiss of death for a freshman show like this.

Living Biblically tells the story of Chip (Jay R. Ferguson), a man who decides to live by laws of the bible (word for word) after the death of his close friend. Naturally, he stumbles along the way when he realizes some of the more particular laws in the good book are a little bonkers.

The show's premiere garnered low ratings by CBS standards, and it has continued to decline throughout the progress of its first season. It's likely that CBS will burn off the rest of the season at a later date, and chances of a Season 2 do not look good.
