A Beverly Hills, Calif., judge issued an arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan on Monday, three days after the 24-year-old actress admitted to failing a drug test, The Associated Press reported.

Despite the warrant, Lohan will remain free pending a Friday court hearing, Los Angeles County Superior Court officials told the AP.

The Mean Girls star could spend up to 30 days in jail if she is found guilty of violating her probation.

Lohan said on her Twitter account Friday that she failed a court-ordered drug test.

Lindsay Lohan: I want my career back

"Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night," Lohan wrote. "I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future."

After spending 13 days behind bars and 23 days in an inpatient substance abuse program, Judge Elden Fox threatened to send Lohan back to prison for 30 days if she violated her probation. Besides court-ordered drug testing, Lohan is attending multiple behavioral therapy and psychotherapy sessions each week.
