Lindsay Lohan will stand trial for alleged theft after turning down a plea deal that would have involved jail time, CNN reports.

Lohan, 24, has been charged with one count of felony grand theft after she was accused of walking out with a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store.

The Mean Girls star faces possible jail time for the theft charge, as well as violating her probation. Her probation stems back to a 2007 drunk driving arrest.

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, notified Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers that there would be no court hearing Friday.
