The new game show will be hosted by comedian/actor Wayne Brady and debut Monday, Oct. 5. Monty Hall, who hosted the show from 1963-77, will serve as a creative consultant.

"I am honored and ready to go," Brady said in a statement. "It is not every day that you get to be a part of a franchise like Let's Make a Deal."

Guiding Light will go off the air Sept. 18. It debuted on NBC Radio in January 1937 and segued to television in June 1952.
