Leif Garrett has been charged with possession of narcotics, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
The 1970s teen idol appeared to have a "very small amount" of black tar heroin when he was arrested Monday, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's department spokesman.
Garrett, 48, was released on bond Wednesday. The arrest was made at a Los Angeles subway station, according to The Associated Press.

He previously was arrested for heroin possession at a Los Angeles subway platform in January 2006, following a cocaine possession charge in March 2005, to which he later pleaded guilty. For his 2006 arrest, Garrett was sentenced to 90 days in jail and three years' probation that March.
His recent credits include the 2006 celebrity edition of Fear Factor and a brief stint on Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge in 2007.
He is due back in court Feb. 24.
