Candice King announced today that she'll be moderating the Legacies panel at San Diego Comic-Con this month, and honestly, this is the greatest news EVER! King holds a special place in the hearts of The Vampire Diariesand The Originalsfans, and now we'll get to see her yuck it up with the next generation at what's sure to be the most awesome panel of the year!
The actress announced the news on Instagram alongside a photo from her first Comic Con with The Vampire Diaries in 2011. She wrote, "I was THRILLED to be a part of my first panel... and was then even MORE thrilled when I saw the photos after and realized they put the wrong name plate in front of me. Seth Gabel had a great time and I'm honored to announce I'll back at Comic Con this year MODERATING the Legacies Panel on Friday July 19th... Send me your Fan Questions!"
We're sure there will lots of talk about whether King will finally cameo in Legacies as the beloved Caroline Forbes, and we're so interested to watch King interact with her on-screen daughters Jenny Boyd and Kaylee Bryant. Plus, we can probably expect some good old Klaroline talk because duh!
"The desire to see Caroline Forbes on Legacies remains strong," showrunner Julie Plec told TV Guide at the ATX Television Festival last month. "The invitation remains open and the welcome would be warm. So honestly, it's just a matter of finding the right story and the right opportunity for Candice to want to come back and play in the sandbox a little."
Here's hoping she accepts that invitation on stage!
Legacies returns Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9/8c on The CW.
