According to a Buzzfeed report, Prepon will not be returning for the full upcoming second season of Orange Is the New Black. Instead, Prepon, who plays Alex, will only appear in several upcoming episodes in order to resolve her story.

However, a rep for Netflix, which produces and distributes the series, denied the report. "It's not accurate. Our season is still developing and nothing is confirmed," according to a spokesperson.

Netflix renewed Orange Is the New Black in early July — days before the first season premiered to rave reviews on July 11. Season 2 started filming last month to premiere sometime in 2014.

Prepon plays Alex, whose troubled history with privileged ex-lover Piper (Taylor Schilling) eventually landed Piper behind bars.
