Who would've thought Lisa Ling and Bill Clinton would have the same namesake?
Journalist Laura Ling, who was held in North Korean captivity last year, has named her newborn daughter, Li Jefferson Clayton, in honor of her sister and the former president, both of whom appealed for her release, People reports.

Li, who was born Wednesday, is the first child for Laura Ling and her husband, Iain Clayton. The baby is a "miracle," Laura Ling said, because she never thought she would be able to start a family when she was imprisoned.

were detained last March after crossing the North Korean border while on assignment. They were sentenced in June and were pardoned in August after Clinton visited the country's leader, Kim Jong Il.Clinton, whose middle name is Jefferson, "has checked in on me several times to see how I'm doing and has been so concerned and caring," Laura Ling said. "He's such a wonderful human being."
