Ratings: TNT’s The Last Ship Is 2014's Most-Watched Cable Premiere

TNT's The Last Ship drew the largest audience of any new cable show this year for its premiere Sunday night.

The action series from Michael Bay, which stars Eric Dane, drew 5.3 million viewers (1.5 million 18-49) for its premiere at 9/8c. Between the premiere and its 11/10c encore presentation, the show was seen by 7.4 million viewers.

The Last Ship was the lead-in for the season premiere of Falling Skies at 10/9c, which drew 3.7 million viewers.
