The CW has acquired the American broadcast rights to the series, which premiered on Canada's CBC in January. It will air sometime this summer.
The 10-episode first season stars Kreuk as a big-city lawyer who returns to her small hometown after she's passed over for a promotion and takes what she expects to be a simple case representing a large pharmaceutical corporation against a group of sick high school girls. But when the girls turn out to be sicker than anyone thought, she switches sides an starts unraveling a major conspiracy.
Kreuk is best known for playing Lana Lang on the long-running WB/CW superhero series Smallville and Catherine Chandler on The CW's update of Beauty and the Beast, which ended in 2016.
