Kirk Douglas is not dead, despite People accidentally publishing his obituary. On Sunday night, the magazine's website accidentally published a working version of the legendary actor's obit, complete with the headline, "DO NOT PUB Kirk Douglas Dies." The post was eventually taken down. The timestamp of the story actually read 3 p.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 29, but it's uncertain if the article has really been live all this time.

People's Twitter account issued an apology for the error late Monday. "To be clear, PEOPLE.com did not POST or PUBLISH the articles in question; a technical glitch caused them to surface online," the magazine wrote. "We are making sure such incidents do not happen again, and we sincerely apologize."
