Scandal stars Kerry Washington and Katie Lowes will be taking their gladiator skills behind the camera for a new comedic drama developed by their native Shondaland for ABC, according to Deadline.

Former Private Practice guest star Bess Wohl will write for the dramedy, which will follow a group of young nannies and the families that they work for. It is described as "an edgy and comical upstairs-downstairs look at the insanity of modern child-rearing."

New Shondaland show will pick up where Romeo & Juliet left off

Wohl and Lowes' husband Adam Shapiro will also serve as executive producers for the show, alongside the Scandal stars.

Earlier this month, Shondaland announced the development of a drama exploring the aftermath of Romeo & Juliet, titled Still Star-Crossed.
