No, this article is not a belated April Fool's joke.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner are writing a sequel to their sci-fi novel Rebels: City of Indra. Yes, sequel: sometime in 2014, between selfies and smiling on red carpets, the literary giants found the time time to "write" a sci-fi book Rebels: City of Indra in 2014 -- "a thrilling dystopian story about two super-powered girls who embark on a journey together." It was later revealed that the book was actually written not by Kendall and Kylie -- shocker! -- but a woman named Maya Sloan, who detailed what it was like working with the sisters in a Cosmo essay.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the sisters are continuing the Rebels story with Time of the Twins, which will be released in November. Twin sisters Lex and Livia will set out on a new journey to find their mother who they thought was dead. At the same time they'll try not to crack under the pressure of a prophecy that names them saviors of Indra.
"We love this world and these characters," Kendall said in a statement. "It's been so fun to tell their story and we are excited to share it with our fans."
Her sister added that the second book will further complicate the lives of the two fans. "In our first book Rebels: City of Indra, we left Lex and Livia in a place where their future was uncertain," added Kylie. "Now, in Time of the Twins, you'll learn how these sisters struggle to get to know each other and deal with their fate."
Katherine Killmond and Elizabeth Killmond-Roman are co-writing the new book from Regan Arts.
Now we're just waiting for the movie adaptation starring Kylie and Kendall as dystopian heroes.
