VIDEO: Keke Palmer Surprises Sav on the Degrassi Season Premiere

A wish is coming true for Keke Palmer: She's appearing on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

"When I started working with Nickelodeon [in 2008] I said if there's any way ever I could be a part of the show, please let me know. They finally found a time and a way to fit me in," she tells TVGuide.com.

Although the 17-year-old singer envisioned playing someone else, she guest-stars as herself on Monday's season premiere, in which the Degrassi kids are getting ready for the big spring break event — Palmer's concert. After an unlikely meeting, Keke and newly single Sav (Raymond Ablack) take a liking to each other. (See their first encounter below.) But Sav has no clue the girl who invited him to the concert is the headline act. Palmer performs two songs in the episode — one with Sav. "I pull him on stage, and it's shocking for everyone," she says.
