With both their shows on hiatus (True Blood's finale aired Sunday and Mad Men's season ender airs October 17), two actors have signed on to be victimized in a truly terrifying episode of NBC's Law & Order: SVU.

Michael Gladis (whose Paul Kinsey has been MIA during Mad Men this season) and Kevin Alejandro (True Blood's Jesus) will play two of a trio of rape victims. "They have been branded and sodomized by someone," reveals executive producer Neal Baer, who says the show poses the questions, "is there a connection between these men, and what nut case is on the loose?"

Suddenly the terrors of Bon Temps and the Sterling Cooper Draper Price ad agency don't seem so bad.     

This episode, the sixth of SVU's new season, also marks the debut of Melissa Sagemiller as the new assistant district attorney, taking the place of exiting Paula Patton. Talk about trial by fire...
