Kate Winslet won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Film for her role in Steve Jobs, beating out a field of actresses that included Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren.

Mentioning what a banner year 2015 was for women in film, Winslet said she was "actually extremely surprised and overwhelmed" by her victory for playing Jobs' longtime head of marketing Joanna Hoffman.

Winslet gushed over her co-star Michael Fassbender, saying: "You are a legend. I would watch you every day. I still don't know how you did it. We were all so impressed by you and overwhelmed by your talent, and you set the bar so high for everybody."

Of screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, who penned the script, Winslet took a different tone. "You're crazy," she told him. "I don't know why you would write that amount of dialogue for people to say. It's really quite hard."

This is the fourth Globe for Winslet, who previously won for Mildred Pierce, Revolutionary Road and The Reader.
